Dr. Roberto Tutino

About Roberto

Dr. Tutino is a first-generation Canadian, born and raised in Montreal to parents of Italian descent. From a young age he had a strong desire to pursue medicine, and that dream never wavered. In the fourth grade, he and his classmates created a time capsule. Ten years later, in 2004, Dr. Tutino was accepted into medical school. He then opened the time capsule and read a letter from his teacher who had written “Dear Dr. Tutino, I hope you achieve all your dreams.”

Dr. Tutino attended McGill University and pursued his Bachelors of Science degree in Physiology. After two years, Dr. Tutino received early admission to McMaster Medical school with a 4.0 GPA.

After receiving his medical degree in 2008, Dr. Tutino moved to Toronto to pursue his Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery training. During this time, training was undertaken with the grandfathers of gynecomastia surgery in Canada: Dr Fielding (open technique) and Dr Lista (pull through technique). In 2013 he completed his training and became Board Certified by the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada.

Following his training, he traveled to Melbourne, Australia, where he completed a fellowship that focused on aesthetic and non-aesthetic breast and body surgery. During this time, he developed a particular interest in breast cancer reconstruction and the transformative impact of cosmetic surgery on his patients’ lives.
